PRODUCT TYPE:-

Ceramic transfers, glassware, ceramic wall tiles, textiles (Fabrics, t-shirts)

Stoneware: it’s heavier

PROCESS:-

The design is either computerised or manually done by the designers appointed depending upon the size and position of printing. Manually designed art work is first scanned for the colour separation where the shade card will be mentioned which will result in 90% of the same print .One colour is printed at a time followed by the other.

Positives are obtained after the colour separation depending upon the number of colours .Every colour has one positive .Then they are exposed to the screen for printing.

Now ,for finer prints silk screen is prepared. Silk screen is prepared to get a finer print. Capillary film is applied which is photo sensitive upon which the positives are kept and exposed in the exposing machine. After exposure the screen is developed with water high pressure guns for cleaning it where in the softer area opens up and the harden area stays. A synthetic cover code is applied which protects the print and a protecting code that will help transfer the design.

TEXTILES:-Heat Transfer

Powder from colour stains mix with a special medium where in each person will print each colour. After the transfer is pasted gloss is applied and firing at 100 degree centigrade is done.

Now, design is exposed on the screen for printing. After printing gloss powder is applied and then it is fed into the furnace and while coming out it is fully embossed.

PROCESS:

3D modelling of the component is done on the computer. Dies are prepares where in the forging process is also used. Different operations are undergone i.e. Drilling, Chamfering,Tapping,Quenching,Tempering,etc to get the standard size and design. High tech machines are there to check the precision of the components to avoid unfitting and finally accidents.

REVA ELECTRIC CAR COMPANY (RECC)

In the year 1994, REVA Electric Car Company (RECC) was incorporated in India as a joint venture between The Maini Group, India, and AEV LLC, California, USA. The joint venture aim to manufacture environment-friendly and cost-effective electric vehicles. With over 180 employees and 6,000 units, this company in India is located at Bommasandra Industrial Area, Bangalore.

The vision of the company is to establish a tradition of excellence and leadership in environment friendly urban transportation by offering the best value and highest quality electric vehicles for city mobility. RECC is also based upon the "zero principle" of the Maini Group. Zero defects, zero time delays, zero inefficiencies and zero pollution. This is achieved through Zero Wastage and Zero Compromises.

The Bangalore Reva plant is working on indigenizing the car and also on developing new electric vehicles.

Reva can travel for 80 km in one charge and can be charged anywhere with a 220 volt, 15 amp power source.

Reva can accommodate two adults and two children properly at a given point of time. It's a two door hatch back car. It has been tested under different and difficult conditions for over a million kilometres and the results have been satisfactory.

The car has three year warranty. Facts like its price (economical) and eco-friendly adds to its USP's.

It's also a very Hi-Tech car with features like Climate Control Seat and Remote Controlled A/C which makes it very different from the conventional cars. It's easy to drive as well, as it does not have any clutch or gear.

Like all other EV's. Reva also requires very less maintenance as the moving parts of the car are very less in number. Reva has the best safety features as well according to world standards of today. Reva offers you a wide variety of colours to choose from it's over 2000 shades and it can be customized as well.

Selco Straight Cut Machine: At a time around 20 components together can undergo the process.

Multi Spindle Drilling Machine: At a time around 20 drills can be made a time.

Computer numerically controlled machine: Drilling, Cutting, side angle drilling cutting etc.

3 Types of Sheet Metal are used:-

CRCA (Cold Roll Close Angled)

GI (Galvanised Iron)

SS (Stainless Steel)

Salvagenie Machine: 48 punches at a time. Punching and sharing machine .8 to 1.5 thicknesses.

Fin Power Bending Machine: It can bend at any angle but more than 90 degree.

Folding Machine: It can bend at any angle but less than 90 degree.

HONEYCORE KELA CHANDRA

Process:-

After boiling it in water for 3 days , its sliced when wet , cut passed through dryer and then parallel clipping to the layers are joined .Its then glued with the gluing machine and then pressed-cold followed by hot.

TYPES:-

Edge banding, Bamboo Veneers, Press Machine for raised surfaces.

After cutting MDF and veneer to the required size, they are pressed together. Air is then sucked out and high pressure is used to press veneer on to the sides and top.

MDF is cut and veneer is cut and then pressed .Air is sucked out first and with high pressure veneer is pressed on the sides and top surfaces.

LEARNINGS:-

My learning include better understanding of materials ,their usage , the process involved , techniques and methods and their application. The various visits to different places helped me in my understandings and practical knowledge which would also help me in their execution.
